ARGENTINA ON WHEELS AROUND THE WORLD

Following its Corporate Social Responsibility policy (CSR), ADEFA has developed a promotional action plan, which will reach over 80 countries, to attract tourism into Argentina.

In a joint action, ADEFA and the Secretary of Tourism, agreed to place a CD containing images of all Argentinean regions in all cars produced for export in the country, which totaled over 300 thousand units.

As a result, Argentina makes sure this campaign reaches some 2 million potential visitors all over the world.

This unusual campaign proved to be of great importance when Mr. Néstor Kirchner, president of the Argentine Nation, had this agreement signed in his own office at the Casa Rosada. The picture shows Mr. President, the Secretary of Tourism Enrique Meyer, and authorities from ADEFA at the signing ceremony.

BRAND NEW SMILES

Since late 2004, ADEFA has been raising funds for UNICEF on a permanent basis. During 2005 – 2006, the Association made an important contribution with funds coming from every brand new car, marketed by any of its 10 members, sold in Argentina during a period of 12 months.

In 2007, ADEFA celebrated the grand opening of the IV Motor Show in Buenos Aires in honor of UNICEF.

During the event, UNICEF was given a check (picture) for 150 thousand pesos to benefit education and social integration programs for minors at stake in the most impoverished regions of Argentina. The associate member took care of all of the event and communication expenses.

RESPONSIBLE DRIVING

Aware of the need to foster safer and responsible driving, ADEFA held a contest which took place between January and February 2007 for which 1.5 million flyers promoting road safety were handed out on Buenos Aires route 2, 11 and coast route. Each flyer also had an entry form for the contest consisting of five questions, which if answered correctly, enabled the contestant to enter the contest for a trip for two to the International Auto Show in Frankfort, all expenses included. Thousands of people had their entry form sent to the car makers stands located along the Beach Coast of Buenos Aires, and to ADEFA offices.

The drawing before notary public took place on June 14, as the culmination of the grand opening of the IV Motor Show in Buenos Aires. Mr. Alfredo Herms, who was the lucky winner, transferred the prize to his son, Alfredo Herms. The prize was handed over by Mr. Fernando Rodríguez Canedo on August 31 at the Association office.
