Members of the Steering Committee of the Automobile Manufacturers Association (ADEFA), held a meeting on July 22nd with the ministers of Industry, Ms. Débora Giorgi, and Economy and Public Finance, Mr. Amado Boudou. The Secretary of Trade, Mr. Guillermo Moreno also participated in the meeting.

ADEFA considered the meeting has been very positive. It was organized in the framework of the meetings that the Association has been holding with national officials so as to continue analyzing the progress of the development and implementation of measures aimed at strenghthening auto-part business.
In this opportunity, representatives of the entity reinforced the permanent commitment of the terminals with supplier development. Terminals have devoted, and still do so, 20% of the total amount of their investments.
In this regard, ADEFA has highlighted the importance of the commissioning of the Development Program for the National Auto-Part Industry, announced by the National Government last April 29th.
With these elements, ADEFA authorities have highlighted the need to continue working as a team, not only with all the players of the value chain, but also with the ministry authorities.
In this regard, the agreement was to work on a progressive program of imports substitutions, which, in turn, will be translated into an improvement of the foreign balance of the sector.
ADEFA has understood the importance of making big efforts to achieve the above goals.
